We would like to assure you that here at Alpenleben we do everything we can to ensure that you can enjoy carefree and relaxed holidays.

We have intensified the safety and hygiene measures. We have summarised the current government safety rules and regulations for you as follows: (as of 06.01.2022) 

  • 01 Important restrictions / Entry requirements Austrian border

    Entry requirements austrian border:

    • 2G+PCR or 2G+booster vaccination over the border as of 20.12.2021
    • 2G+booster+PCR are required from 24.12.2021 for the countries: Netherlands, England, Denmark, Norway. If this proof is not provided, a 10-day quarantine is mandatory upon entry. 
    • the validity of the vaccination status "fully vaccinated" is only 6 months from 01 February 2022.


    • The 2G rule applies everywhere
    • FFP2 mask requirement in the indoor area - for guests and for operators and employees when contacting customers.
    • FFP2 mask requirement outdour if a distance of 2 metres is not given. (pedestrian area, in the line at the ski lifts, in front of stores...)
    • Mask compulsory for guests, especially away from the seat in restaurants
    • FFP2 masks in the skilifts 
    • In the accommodation when entering generally accessible areas indoors
    • Registration requirement for guests
    • Curfew at 10 p.m., food and drinks may only be served to guests with assigned seats
    • no apres ski and no open discos 
  • 02 Access rules Hotel & gastronomy

     A valid vaccination certificate or confirmation of a coronavirus illness must be presented on arrival. A check-in without fulfilling the 2G criteria is not possible.

    Vaccinated: Evidence of a centrally approved vaccine against COVID-19 matching the following criteria:

    • Second vaccination, whereby this must not be more than 270 days ago and at least 14 days must have elapsed between the first and second vaccination,
    • Vaccination, provided there was a positive molecular biological test for SARS-CoV-2 at least 21 days before the vaccination or proof of neutralizing antibodies before the vaccination, whereby the vaccination must not be more than 360 days ago, or
    • further vaccination, although this must not be more than 360 days ago
    • The vaccination from Johnson & Johnson, originally designed as a single immunization, is only valid until January 3rd, unless it has been re-vaccinated.


    • Proof of recovery from an infection with SARS-CoV-2 over the past 180 days or a medical confirmation of an infection with SARS-CoV-2 over the past 180 days, which has been confirmed by molecular biology, or
    • Separation notice, if this was issued for a person who was verifiably infected with SARS-CoV-2 in the last 180 days before the planned test;
    • Please note that subsequent evidence of neutralizing antibodies will not langer be recognized.


    • Children up to the age of 12 (0-11 years) are exempt from the requirement to provide proof of G and therefore do not have to show a test result. Here, the status of the parents counts.
    • For children from 12 years until the end of compulsory schooling, the "Ninja Pass" is valid - also at weekends.
    • During the holidays, the test intervals of the school operation (at least 2 PCR tests/week) must be carried out.
    • This regulation also applies analogously to children from abroad.
    • Young people from the end of compulsory schooling are subject to the same 2-G requirements as adults
  • 03 Hygiene:
    • Hygiene has always been a top priority for us: all areas are cleaned thoroughly every day and cleaned with disinfectant-containing cleaning agents in accordance with current hygiene standards.
    • Disinfection dispenser: Since you cannot wash your hands everywhere, there are numerous disinfection dispensers available to you as a guest in the hotel.
  • 04 Arrival:
    • 2-G rule: as decribed in Access rules Hotel & gastronomy
    • FFP2 face mask: Please bring FFP2 face masks from home for your entire stay. You have to wear Masks in hotels or restaurants. Aswell in stores and for the mountain railways.
    • 2-G rule certificate: This must be carried by every person over the age of 12 and presented at check in.
    • Online Check In: In order to shorten the check in on site, we ask you to send us all missing data in advance. We will send you an e-mail with all the information you need for online check-in before your arrival.
  • 05 Breakfast buffet:
    • We look forward to welcoming you on our high quality breakfast buffet. There are disinfectant dispensers at the buffet, disposalbe gloves, we ask you to wear the mask and take care of the distance to other people.
    • For our guests in the apartment we also offer breakfast in the apartment instead of the bread delivery service.
  • 06 Wellness area:
    • Please also note the general minimum distance of 1 meter in the wellness area. Per person you have 10m².
    • Maximum number of people in the various sauna cabins, max. 3-4 people stay at the same time.

  • 08 Cancellation conditions

    Winter season 2021/2022:

    • Up to 30 days before arrival – free cancellation,
    • 29 days up to 8 days before arrival – 70% of the value of the reservation,
    • 7 days up to arrival – 90% of the value of the reservation,
    • no-shows, delayed arrivals or earlier departures – are 90% due.

    Summer season 2022:

    • Up to 15 days before arrival - free cancellation
    • 14 days up to 8 days before arrival - 70% of the value of the reservation
    • 7 days up to arrival - 90% of the value of the reservation
    • no-shows, delayed arrivals or earlier departures - are 90% due.

    The deposit will be fully refunded:

    • In case a new lock down is imposed shortly before your planned vacation.
    • The Austrian Government imposes an entry ban (close borders)
    • The Apart Alpenleben is closed due to a lockdown
    • A lockdown occurs during your stay in Apart Alpenleben

    However, should a lockdown happen but the travel ban is lifted before your arrival then our normal cancellation terms come in to effect again.

    Travel cancellation insurance:

    We recommend that all guests take out travel cancellation insurance. One option is European travel insurance, which currently also insures Covid-19 diseases like any other unexpected serious illness.

  • 09 Cable cars

    The skiarea / skilifts will open aswell on the 13th December 2021.

    85 % of the cable cars are open means of transport with a lower risk of infection and a transport time of less than 15 minutes.

    In order to secure the winter season 2021/2022, additional measures will be taken by the cableway companies.

In this article we have summarized all regulations and adaptions and hopefully have answerd all of your questions. That's why we keep you up to date here on all measures, constantly make adjustments and reserve the right to make any changes.
